The Yellow Nightmare

Ok, so it was the first full day of school yesterday for my boy. Getting on the Bus was the easy part, it was getting off that didn't go so well. After parent teacher meeting last night I got the entire story. His teacher told him to stand in a certain line to get on his afternoon bus, well my little social butterfly was talking to whom ever & got on there bus. It's a bus right, they must all go to my house, he assumes or doesn't, who knows what's in his 5 year old mind. His teacher does see this & physically puts him on the right bus. However, I'm watching all the kids get off & no Logan. The bus driver must have thought I was crazy, do you have one more, LOGAN, he yells back, still nothing, me panicking, can I get on the bus, I'm not a crazy person, although I was getting there rather quickly, there he is talking away. Then as we walk home I realize no lunch sack, no coat, no umbrella.......ugh. He has no clue , at school, on the bus, could have dropped it.....way to young to get on that huge yellow nightmare that he'll eventually realize that it's not that great, riding the bus that is. So, we have the long talk about who he gets off & on the bus with, he knows quite a few kids, so hopefully. And hopefully his things will turn up, at least I have him though. I just put him on the bus again this morning so hopefully things will go better, because so far this is more stress then having him all day!

First Day of Kindergarten

Well, its official & oh so bitter sweet, my baby is a kindergartner at Cold Springs school (where I attended too) with Mrs. Boley. Yesterday was an orientation of one hour with me, thank heavens, because tomorrow will be the real thing, all day, nuts I know. He is so happy, outgoing & will do awesome, me on the other hand will be a different story. This is the shirt he picked out for his first day at the mall the day before.
New coat from Disneyland, & new BIG boy backpack!

His desk, he sits with three girls, the little stud muffin, as Daddy puts it.

His name on the door to his classroom, it's right next to him, he thought that was cool.

Well, here's to alot of changes, & hopefully an amazing year! I miss you already though little man!

A ME Day

If you need a babysitter this is your gal, other then Mykell & Traci of course! This is our Jessica from church. Cale & Logan adore her. This is how I found them when I got home from a few errands & a movie, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. Very cute by the way! She is a gem! And a lifesaver when Mommy needs to be just Michele!

Curly Q

I know, where have I been, good question really, just busy with my loves. I thought I'd share some pics of my curly Q boy after a bath. It's really the only indication of his African American culture. It's adorable, hopefully he'll think so when he gets older!

Seeley Lake

Patti & Cale

Sand Castle Builder!

Brayden & Me

Well, we acquired a ski doo from a trade of a hot tub. I have always loved these things, granted its been some time since I was on one, but I still love it! We drove up to Seeley yesterday for what we thought would just be a few hours or so, well we didn't get home till 11pm. I am a lobster even with using sunscreen so I'm more then a little sore but it was well worth it (ask me again though after I take a shower). Our friends were up there so we took over there area & played the day away. Mykell's parents have a boat so Logan tried to water ski, he did really well for his first time, he got up, but then went down & didn't want to try again. Mykell & I tubed with Logan & her son Brayden off the boat, my first time ever. Then we rode the ski doo & just about everyone else did too, so it got broke in quite quickly. Logan liked to go a little slow, so when I was off on my own I got pretty daring. I can't wait till next weekend! Kenny & Patti, Mykell's parents were awesome to us, & invited us for dinner at there camp spot. Logan was content in the sand with 2 little girls he met for most of the day. Cale loved the water, watching it & putting his feet in, every time we pulled him up he would arch his back to try & slide down for more. He slept alot & he & I hung out in the truck with the AC for a bit so he could stretch & cool off. What an amazing day with my family (much needed by the way) & with amazing, generous great friends. Thank you, Patti, Keeny (for the rides & soda), Rob, Mykell, Joe, & Traci! I can't believe I posted a pic of me & my over weight body, but, this is me.

The Fair

I got a good friend to watch Cale while I took Logan to Kid's Day at the Western Montana Fair. I usually complain about the fair, its hot, its busy, on & on. This year, I enjoyed every minute with my boy. To show for it...hardly any pictures. I was just in the moment with him. It was perfect, corn dogs, we rode the Ferris wheel together, went to the circus that was there, I know you out of towners are like what? well they had a circus too. They did away with the horse races which brought out alot of people, the drinking kind, so they are trying new things, anyways, it was just a wonderful day with my boy, yes, even at the fair!
A great couple from our church that got our seat when we got off. It was perfect, I think I said that all ready! Hope you enjoyed your fair as much as we did!

Mason, Logan, Makenna, & Brayden
Mykell & Kade

Last Monday night we met a few friends at the park to let the kids play in the splash deck while we ate dinner & caught up on our busy summer schedules. During dinner this doe just walked right on by without a care in the world, only in Missoula! What a great evening followed by a DQ surprise from Traci, yummy!

Snowman 4 Sale

Last year I made tons of snowmen earrings for family & a few friends for Christmas presents. I gave one set to my hairdresser & she was showing them off, so I made one set for a gal to give to her mother in law, anyways, my hairdresser is going to sell some at her shop but, I thought I'd let everyone know that if they wanted to purchase a pair to leave me a message in the comments & I'll get them to you. The scarves colors I have right now are blue, green, silver, & black, there is also usually pink so let me know the color. They are $12.00 or 2 for $20.00. Thanks for your support & leave me a note!

Working Weekend

On Friday the fence company set the posts for our black chain link fence that should be done by Tuesday of this week, yeah! I can finally contain the kiddos, well one of them anyways, yep, you guessed it, Cale! Hopefully my Logan too! Anyways we have this retaining wall between the farmers fence & just this dead space, lets just say we always pick the wrong landscapers, so the boys decided to put a few shrubs & rocks to make it look nice. Plus, Ron had to fix 3 sprinkler heads that they broke, that will be coming out of the bill, well, anyways they got it all done, way to go! On the other hand though, my boy has the bump & scrape to prove it........

still smiling even after that goose egg!

Confined

Ok, so the food thing isn't going so well. Cale would rather put his fists in his mouth instead of food, so I got out the highchair from, Mykell, Traci, Steph, & Patti and, walla. Ok, so he is locked in, but I can at least get some food in his mouth, well fruits, not much veggies, just the complete opposite of Logan. Silly little monkey!
