UM Griz Homecoming Game

We had an awesome time as a family attending Logan's first University of Montana Grizzly football game. A friend of mine emailed saying she couldn't use the tickets & were we up to going, I of course jumped at the chance, especially for Homecoming. Logan was so excited to go see the game, mainly he wanted to see the Griz mascot Monte. He did so good, even with the weather being so chilly. We were all bundled & chilled by the wind but the excitement of the fans keeps you warm all over. You can see silver & maroon over the entire grand stands. We had great seats on the north end zone. We left at the 3rd quarter since Logan was well tuckered out, but it makes us think about trying to get season tickets for next year. What a perfect time to all be together. I really enjoyed the game. We of course beat Weber State which made his first game all the better.

Getting ready for our mile walk to our car before the little one falls asleep & before the crowd.

Thanks so much to Kellie & Dan for the terrific first time event, & GO GRIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOGAN'S DAY!

So, today was Logan's big day at pre school. It was his day to bring the snacks, but little did I know, that that also meant that he brought a show & tell, he was Mrs. Judan's helper all day & that he led the class line. Big day to a 4 year old. He told me the show & tell part as we were going out the door to pick up the other 2 kids we car pool with. ( I probably didn't mention how perfectly that has been workin out, for all of us, I hope. ) I though he was talking about a hotel so I had no idea, then I finally picked up on the 2 words seperately. "Thats what I've been trying to tell you MOM!" he sarcastically explains. So.... I hurry & grab the scrap book I made for him with pictures of all the people close to him so that if he gets sad or misses us he can see our pictures. ( I first made it to stay at his day care )
After listenening to his explanation the kids were suppose to ask a question about it. There were 3 in a row asking "where do you keep it?" Then a few, "I forgot" my question. It was rather cute & entertaining at that. You just heve to smile.

Talking about yesterday in there circle time.

This was so clever, counting the numbers to today, saying the week, month, & year. They do quite well, for only being there third week.

A new little song that they will be working on all next week. After the bear they growl & after the cherry pie is a rub on the tummy for a yum, yum, yummy!

It was so great to see my son at play. He loves it there. I love being the Mom helper at school. A true blessing for the stay at home Moms out there. Seeing there excitement & hearing how important you are to your son/daughter. Knowing too that the teacher's love an extra set of hands at times. I hope that you all can take a day to be with your child on there much important day in the life of a four year old. I see a kid's book on this, Jamie Lee Curtis perhaps. Enjoy the colors of

With Faith

With Faith comes great responsibilities, as our family has found out. We have known for a few weeks, but mum was the word, until this last Sunday at church. My honey is the second counselor in the Elders Qourum Presidency. He is very nervous but has made such great changes, singing, reading, and participating. He will have meetings every Tuesday nights. He is in charge of half of the home teaching list, visiting the sick in the Hospitals, & computer work that he will learn Thursday night. He is in charge of the missionaries doing there part with the in active members. My favorite though is teaching every three months or so. The Brother that chose him said that each time he prayed, Ron's name just kept coming up. The Lord must have great faith in what he has to offer. We plan on getting together with the Secretary & other counselor once a week for game night & to basically get to know one another better, the President's idea, I love that part all ready. We have been keeping very busy with in the Church. I truly love these people & all they have done for us as a family. My testimony grows each & every day. I'm so greatful to be able to share this with my Utah family. With much love & prayer for you all~

Autumn Splendor

You wouldn't know it by this gorgeous fall day, but the last few days have been cold & dreary as the last of the summer sun turns into the crisp golden colors of Fall. This is my favorite time of year & I was itching to decorate, since last year at this time, we were just moving into our new home, so no time for decorations when you're still unpacking the necessities.
Wednesday night I got out all of our Halloween decorations & went to town, with Logan under foot like a kid in a candy store. He though was thinking about Christmas more than Fall & Halloween. He is such an amazing little boy, the twinkle always in his eyes the pure joy & wonder in every thing he does.

So all that was left, decoration wise, was to make our anual trip to Benson's Nursery to gather our pumpkins. I'm sure some of you are saying, already. I'll have you know this is the best place in town to get pumpkins, in a patch sort of atmosphere, & you get there early if you want larger ones to carve. We ended up with six for our front porch and the most amazing pictures again.

I love the apple trees, the flowers, pumpkins, & vegetables. They are also famous for there sweet corn, which today happened to be there last day for some. We spent some time just taking in the crisp breeze & the warmth of the last of the summer sun. What another perfect day with my son. Enjoy the miraculous change of weather and glorious colors that this time of year offers.

"All I need is a fast machine"

His personal cheer coach!

Slow Down! STOP!!!!!!!!!!!

The only way to slow him down!
So, Daddy finally turned Lightning to rabbit speed instead of turtle speed, now we can't keep him out of it. He goes in circles in the driveway for hours, or as long as we can stand it. He even got the tassles from his tigger bike handles for Daddy to be his personal cheering coach. He yells woo hoo when he drives by. Its rather quite cute. We even had a neighbor say that it was so cute to see Daddy cheering & chasing Logan with his small remot control Lightning. We thought Cars was just a phase but he hasn't given it up yet. "Life is a highway, you got to ride it all night long, do do do do do"

Waiting

Frame I made for her

Sugar Plum Bedding set by Calaco

A girl can never have to many clothes.....right?

So...........Maybe blogs are suppose to be cheery, but there are some days, for me, that are not that way.
We have been waiting since January to fill this nursery with a baby girl from China. We have a number that was sent from China ,but now, we are waiting for our referal child. She should be some where in the 0-12 month age. We already picked out her name, Kylee Renee. One, I just couldn't wait, & two, it was easier to give her a name for Logan to start to understand.
The room has been an absolute blast to get ready. I searched for awhile on the crib set & bedding. We did go all out, or I should say that I did, & Ron just graciously agreed with me. She will probably be sick of plums & pinks but I just couldn't resist. It is so beautiful, peaceful & soothing.
Then there are the days that are tremendously hard on my already pulled heart strings, such as today when at a church birthday luncheon 3 of the ladies told our group that they are trying for more children when 2 have 4 & 1 has 3 all ready. How blessed they should feel. I know that I have the best little boy in the whole word & am blessed each & every day that he is in my life & that his birth mother chose us to parent him for eternity, but...........that empty feeling is back & just as strong as before we were blessed with our angel boy.
I know, enough all ready. Keep us in your thoughts & prayers that the Lord will bless us again, soon, very soon we hope. Until then we will just be WAITING.

1st Day at Preschool

I just left my baby at Holy Family Preschool, & my heart is torn. He went right in & met his 2 teachers Joan & Kathy. All smiles, polite, & ready for anything they had. He hung his spiderman backpack, found his basket with his name, put his apple name tag on & was off to explore. I on the other hand came home, cried, then got on here to upload his perfect little smile, & then shed some more tears. I can't explain it but he truly is my miracle, & I am so proud of the young boy he is turning out to be. Well, just short & sweet, bitter sweet.

Build~A~Bear

Choosing Cody for Logan & Pink Cuddles Teddy for Kylee

Making a wish !

Helping to stuff

cleaning them both uo to get dressed

Dressing Cody up in his surf wear

All Ready

Naming them both with Daddy
So the last true end of the summer weekend & we set off for a drive to Spokane. My new car traveled awesome. I now have 600 miles on it already:( I know, not even broke in yet. Anyways we had a wonderful time together as a family. We went to the Church book store, there was alot of neat things. I ended up going to 4 scrapbook stores. My hubby is so patient with my love for browsing in new stores. I'm like a kid in a candy store! Had to hit Toys R US for Logan & we have 2 birthday partys to go to this week & weekend so that way we got uniqe gifts for the girls. Went to a sporting good store for Ron, Burlington Coat Factory & both the Valley & regular Malls. We shopped till we dropped & ate like kings. We swam both nights at the hotels pool. Logan is such a fish, no fear & no zero depth entry at this one, so he did awesome. We discovered a brand new build a bear. This is our second time at this amazing store. The first was in Seattle at Christmas time & he built a purple dinosaur. Then this time he built Cody Maverick the penguin from the movie Surfs Up. I tried to tell him that its called build a BEAR but no such luck on switching, thats when he said he could make a bear for his baby sister & who could refuse that precious thought, so we picked a light pink bear for Kylee & put an actual thumpimg heart beat in it when the tummy is squeezed. If you have the chance to enjoy this experience with your children you won't be disappointed, its truly wonderful to see the magic & twinkle in there expressions. Creating their new friend.
Cody Maverick $20.00
Surf board $8.00
T-shirt $5.00
3 voice sayings $5.00
spending an unforgetable moment with our son~ priceless
