Daycare Memories

Logan only has 2 days next week at daycare & then he will be done & a new chapter of our lives will start, namely, pre-school. He is so excited & I'm in tears as I write this. He starts at Holy Family on September 5th. He will go in the afternoons, Mon. Wed. & Fri. from 12:30 till 2:45. The only thing I haven't told him is there is no school bus. Little do children know that the big yellow bus just isn't what it seems. He will be deflated for a whole 2 seconds & then be off & running to start his learning. He even got a spiderman back pack that he picked out himself. Time sure flies by, everyone with children say this but we truly don't get it until our time does indeed fly by. Mykell, his main provider & her sister Tracy have touched his life immeasurably. They are 2 of the neatest people you could possibly meet & the most amazing care givers. He has learned & grown in these past 8 months with them, & I couldn't of asked for better friends as well. Thank you for the love & care you have shown my son & my family. We won't be saying a true goodbye just a see you all again soon for a play visit.

Grateful

No picture with this entry, but I wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of Ron. He was ordained an Elder today after church of the Melkezidek Priesthood by our friend Rob. We will be so blessed as a family to have this key in our home. The only downside was that our Utah family wasn't here to witness it. I know with prayer, patience, & understanding that he will use this gift to serve others as well as us. The blessings just keep growing with our growth in His church. I leave you with a most humble heart.

Our handsome boy, in his Sunday best ,with his Temple tie, from the Miller's. Trying to make him pose for pictures is another thing, even befor 9:30 am! Had to share though.

SPOILED!!!!!!!

So.............a new set of wheels for our bigger family to come. I wanted a change & I got it. A 2007 Ford Edge SEL plus. Its a cross over vehicle. Car/SUV After dinner last weekend we just browsed a few car lots. Then Monday after swimming lessons (by the way my little fish went from the tots class to level 1 & now to level 2, he is an awesome swimmer, I see lifeguarding as a great teen summer job, anyways ) my Mom took Logan for a few hours & I thought, why not really check the cars out that we saw, so.... I did, & fell in love. I called Ron, sweet talked him & traded in my car for my creme brulee sweet as dessert car. I love it!!!!!!!!!!! Logan calls it his van. It has all the bells & whistles. Even a navigation system & everything is touch screen. Basically its a dream car & really safe for our soon to be growing family.

The Trampoline Thing

My Dad paid for Logan to be harnessed into this contraption that let the child bounce & flip in the air like they were waitless. Since he is pretty much waitless the operator helped to get him higher. He loved it! He is not afraid of any adventure that gets in his path. Just let me at it. He did so good for being so small, my brave little man.

The Western Montana Fair

Its that time of year again, the fair, either you love it or you just try to embrace it. I love it. The food, & the food, & the food! I love the sparkle in my sons eye, I love the sights & sounds. I love the impossible games that you spend way to much money on for a huge inflatable spiderman toy that you really wouldn't want them to take, yet alone carrying it around if you were to win it. I love that Logan got to pet a pig, horse, cow, goat, & a llama, I even loved it more when there was germ X to use after he did. I even love the weird carni guys that you wonder how they could do this job. I love that my husband always buys me cotten candy before we leave. I love just being there with my family & my Dad this year. I truly hope that you can attend a good old fashioned fair, dirt & all.

Kids Fest 2007

Every summer we head downtown to kids fest put on by Parks & Rec & local business. Its all for the kids, from tons of freebees to music to games, to arts & crafts. Its an amazing day. We have gone every year since Logan has been born. We went with a friend from church, her mother in law & her 2 boys. Logan climbed the rock wall who knows how many times ,got his face painted, 2 tatoos, tons of prizes & candy, & rode the carousel for the millionth time. What a busy afternoon. He was so exhausted that he asked for a nap when we got home at 4! Gotta love that!

Picnic with the Penroses

What a gorgeous evening. With who knows how many straight days of over whelming heat we headed off to the splas deck in the lower linda vista. The kids loved every minute of it. After wearing them out & cooling them off we ended the evening with a fried chicken picnic with all the fixins. Durning our chats we met another gal with her daughter. We knew she must be an adoptive mom & it turns out that she went thru our agency that we are currently sighned up with. How amazing! Plus it gives us that sigh of hope that it must be possible evn with this unbearable wait. Hope your enjoying the summer sun too!

Logan's 4 year pictures. They look squished but are truly awesome. He is always all smiles, it takes longer to pick all the ones I want out, then to actually get them taken. Have to love Sears. It seems like its forever now for new 'professional' pictures, with Christmas & his Birthday being the time that we do them instead of 3, 6, 9, 12 months like in the begining. Its probably another reason there are so many.
